So regarding jetting, be sure to consider your operating altitude when you are modifying from stock. 1000 ft do make a difference.
My 96 has the infamous special feature of the leaky oil plug under the rocker box. What I noticed was when I run long trip and the engine temperature stays up the leak is minimal, it seems to be more obvious during short trips with plenty of cooling periods. Did not leak or use a measureable amount of oil on the trip, level was visibly the same start and finish.
